Welcome to Year 3
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome you and your child to Year 3. Your teachers this year will be Miss Moore and Mrs Kilshaw. If you need to speak with us, please do hesitate to get in touch and we can organise an appointment. The following information points are just useful reminders for yourself and your child.
Useful Information
To help your child be organised we provide the following information.
PE Kits: Please ensure that your child has their PE kit in school at all times. Details of all kit and uniform is on the website.
Reading: Year 3 children are expected to read to their parents/carers/family three times each week and we ask that you sign your own initials to confirm that the reading is actually taking place. Children who do have three signatures in their book each week will qualify for a Friday treat which will be an extended playtime. Books will be changed every Monday and Friday. If your child finishes their school reading book then they can always read a boook from home till they receive a new one.
Homework Children are expected to complete their times tables books and read at least 3 times each week.
Computer Tasks All children have been given Log in details to three programs which we think we benefit them if they use them at home. These are Bug Club, Timestables Rockstar and Maths Whizz. Please let me know if you are having problems logging on.
