Welcome to St Andrew's

C of E Primary School

Our Christian Vision

Rooted in our Christian Faith, we believe everybody is uniquely made in the image of God, deeply valued and loved. We are committed to nurturing the whole child - academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually - so that all can achieve their full, God-given potential. Through an ambitious, enriching curriculum and excellent teaching, we lay the foundations for lifelong learning and personal growth, preparing children to live life in all its fullness.

We aim to inspire our children to believe in themselves, in one another and in God - encouraging resilience, hope and a sense of purpose. We care for and respect each other, creating a safe, inclusive and compassionate community where diversity is celebrated, everyone's voice is heard and every story matters. United in faith and fellowship, we recognise that we are stronger together - learning, growing and flourishing side by side.

Our Fantastic Children!

Welcome

Welcome to St Andrew’s Church of England VA Primary School. Our happy, caring school aims to enable every child to have high aspirations and to achieve their full potential. Our highly skilled team of staff work tirelessly to ensure that all children flourish academically, spiritually and socially. We are passionate about equipping each child with the skills and attributes they need to become lifelong learners and supporting them to become responsible citizens.

As a Church of England Primary School, we promote the values of our Christian faith throughout our daily lives. Our Christian Values underpin and drive all of our learning and attitudes. We have close links with St. Andrew’s Church and the children visit church to worship and to celebrate Christian festivals.

Our children are truly incredible and are very proud of our special school where we happily achieve, believe and care together.

We hope that our website will provide you with all the information you require about our school. If you need any further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Working Collaboratively towards Multi Academy Trust

Our school has been working for a number of years within a group of nine schools supporting school improvement. To preserve the quality of education and opportunity for our pupils and staff, we are looking to develop a new multi-academy trust together. Over the coming weeks we will be sharing our plans with our communities, including gaining your views and how you can contribute to our school’s future.  Please return to this website in the coming months to find out more about how this project is developing.

    Trans pennine trail Activity Pack
Please see message below from the Trans Pennine Trail Team: We’re delighted to let you know that our latest Children’s activity pack is now available to download free, from the Trans Pennine Trail website in time for Half Term. Packed with engaging activities, kids can explore nature with a Rainbow Scavenger Hunt, create a journey stick, collecting treasures along their walks to create a unique keepsake, and make a delicious mug cake or an egg box bird feeder. The pack also includes a butterfly colouring page, a Wordsearch, and the latest instalment of Mandy Mole’s adventure along the Trans Pennine Trail. It’s a fantastic way to keep little ones busy over the Half Term and to enjoy the beauty of the season! The pack is aimed at primary school children with help as necessary from their parents or carers, and older children may enjoy some of the activities too. Download it from our Children’s page at: https://www.transpenninetrail.org.uk/welcome-to-our-childrens-page/ or by clicking the image below: We hope your children enjoy the activities. As always, we’d love to receive your feedback about the pack and suggestions for activities to include in our next pack that we’ll be producing for the Summer holidays, just email us at info@transpenninetrail.org.uk.

    Summer Funding available
Please see message below from Councillor Gemma Southern Labour Councillor for Poplars & Hulme Residents Tel no: 07483405586 Email: cllrgemma.southern@warrington.gov.uk Hello, As the summer holidays are nearly here, I wanted to let the school, your parents (and any volunteers who may be connected to the school) know that they can apply for community funding to support extra-curricular activities to keep young people occupied over the summer. It’s really easy to apply and there is no matched funding requirement. You can even call to check whether your idea is likely to be approved. £2,000 Summer SWAP Fund The fund will support community groups, charities, social enterprises and not-for-profit groups to deliver community-led activities. These projects will help to address challenges we see during the summer months, whilst empowering young people and promoting their well-being. We want to support projects which are working to: • help reduce pressure on families • lower crime and anti-social behaviour • engage with young people giving them access to the things they need over the summer period. Find out more and apply here https://www.cheshire-pcc.gov.uk/what-the-commissioner-does/community-funding/SWAP-Fund/summer-swap-fund-2025/
