At St Andrew's, we recognise and celebrate the fact that all children are different. We aim to bring out the best in every child in our school. We understand that children learn in different ways so we ensure that we offer varied opportunities to help all our children to reach their full potential.

Children with Additional Needs

We recognise that some children find learning and school life harder than others. Some children may have a disability whilst others may need work, support or equipment that is different from the rest of their class.

In the first instance we provide high quality teaching that is differentiated to meet the needs of our children.

We aim to work in partnership with parents to ensure that our chldren develop the skills and resilience to enable them to learn.

If any concerns are raised about your child you will be supported and kept fully informed of the best way forward.

Our Special Educational Needs and Disabilities co-ordinator is Miss Evans. She works closely with all teachers to support them in writing and implementing individual programmes.

If you have any questions about how we embrace children with additional needs please look in our SEN-D policy or contact the school directly.
